Existing investors Claypond Capital and SMBC Asia Fund, which led the company\u2019s $35 million <a href=\"https:\/\/entrackr.com\/exclusive\/exclusive-easy-home-finance-raises-rs-210-cr-led-claypond-capital-7375817\">Series B round<\/a> in late 2024, also participated. With this round, the company\u2019s total equity capital raised has crossed $80 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The round marks Investcorp\u2019s entry into India\u2019s mortgage-tech and lending sector, signalling a renewed focus on scaled lending platforms and long-duration investment opportunities in the country\u2019s financial services market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2017 by Rohit Chokhani, Easy Home Finance is a pan-India mortgage-tech company that builds technology-led capabilities across mortgage origination and the home-loan value chain. The company primarily caters to low- and middle-income borrowers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fresh capital will be used to expand the company\u2019s loan book and deepen its presence in smaller towns, Chokhani said, as reported by <em><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/tech\/funding\/easy-home-finance-secures-30-million-from-investcorp-claypond-capital-smbc-asia\/articleshow\/127716059.cms?from=mdr\">The Economic Times<\/a><\/em>. Easy Home Finance is currently present in 14 states and 106 cities, and plans to expand further into towns with populations of over 500,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the company maintains its own loan book, it also operates a co-lending model with DCB Bank and Bajaj Finance. Around 40% of its business comes from tier-II and tier-III cities. Its assets under management stand at around Rs 2,000 crore, including both its own and co-lending portfolios. The company is targeting a loan book of Rs 3,500\u20133,800 crore over the next 18 months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis equity raise is a statement of intent. We are building for scale\u2014pan-India expansion, faster distribution, and deeper investment across product and talent,\u201d said <strong>Rohit Chokhani<\/strong>, Managing Director of Easy Home Finance. \u201cThe participation of Investcorp, alongside continued support from Claypond and SMBC, our long-term shareholders, strengthens our ability to move faster and build bigger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The continued participation of existing investors reflects sustained confidence in the company\u2019s growth strategy.
